Harold Dale Morgan




Harold Dale Morgan, 91, of Wesley Chapel, FL passed away on December 28, 2023. Dale was born on January 17, 1932 in Seffner, FL to parents Harvey D Morgan and Ruby G Morgan.  He attended the University of Florida and graduated in 1956 with a degree in Building Construction from the College of Architecture.  

 

He founded Morgan Construction in 1960 and in 1968 became the franchise owner for Butler Metal Building Systems for six Tampa Bay area counties.  Over approximately 30 years Dale built a thriving and successful business, winning many awards from Butler and building numerous homes and commercial buildings throughout the Tampa Bay area.

 

Dale was very involved in the community; he served as the Worshipful Master of the Palma Ceia Masonic Lodge, Vice-President and Director of Tampa Builders Exchange and a member of Tampa Consistory of Scottish Rite.  He was also dedicated to serving the community through his involvement with Tampa East Sertoma Club; he was a member of the club for over 50 years and served as President and Director during that time.

 

He loved football and baseball, playing golf and the occasional cigar. He was devoted to his family who were the center of his world. He was deeply loved and will be missed by his loving wife, Mary Jean Morgan, his children Lynn Cliburn, Debbie Hill, Harold Morgan II, Richard Morgan and Russell Morgan, as well as his14 grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Joyce Palmer, many nieces and nephews and extended family members.

 

A Celebration of Life will be held on February 17, 2024 at 11am at Christ Cumberland Presbyterian Church, located at 19501 Holly Lane, Lutz, FL 33548.
