Ronald William Kozusko
Ronald W. Kozusko 71, of Pinellas Park, passed away Sunday September 19, 2021 due to complications from Covid-19 pneumonia. Born April 23, 1950 in New Kensington, PA Ron was the son of Steven A. Kozusko and Alice I. Kozusko.
Ron was a resident of Pinellas County for 34 years. He enjoyed his career as a Pinellas County Schools bus driver for 12 years. He officially retired September 2020. Ron was also an employee of Paramount Power and an assembly line worker for Volkswagen of America. Ron had a strong passion for football. He started out coaching for Rostraver Little Leps Football League. When Ron moved to Florida, he changed tracks and became a white hat official. He did that for 27 years with the Suncoast Football Officials Association and loved every minute of it.
Ron was a devout Christian, Disney fanatic, and treasured spending time with his family, who he adored more than anything in the world. Ron will always be known as telling his family and close friends that “You never say goodbye, you say see ya later”!
Ron is survived by his adoring wife Jeffrie Kozusko to whom he was with and loved for 36 years. Ron has five children. Kathleen Wood of Greensburg PA, Mary (Jeffrey) Worst of Apollo, PA, Steven (Stephanie) Kozusko of Frazeysburg, OH, Bradley (Allison) Kozusko of Pittsburgh, PA, and youngest son Adam Kozusko of Pinellas Park, FL. Ron also has his Mother-in-law Marlene Hixenbaugh, of Belle Vernon and sister Shirley DeRosa of Levittown PA. Ron has 8 grandchildren. Jacquelyn Jupina, Lauren Glunt, Taylor Glunt, Tommy Glunt, Jacob Cochran, Brooke Kozusko, Megan Kozusko, and Nolan Kozusko. His great grandchildren include Novastasia, Anthony, and Scarlett. Ron loved his pets Thunder, Biscuit, and Nikko the cockatiel.
In lieu of a traditional funeral Ron’s family privately celebrated his wonderful life the way he wanted by eating his favorite pizza from A’amore’s and drinking his favorite beer, Stella Artois. There will be a Celebration of Life in the near future. The date will be announced. In place of flowers or traditional gifts please donate to help pay the family’s expenses.
