The kindest woman was born Manassas, Virginia on November 8th, 1950 to Edna and Oscar Bowman. Marilyn was a mother to three adoring children whom she gave all of her love. As a family woman, she used her warm soul, sassy wit and sense of humor to help everyone in her life. As a devoted RN in Hospitals, hospice, and supervision her empathy and care for her patients stretched beyond her work.
Her friends and family knew her to be adventurous and inviting, caring for extended as her own and celebrating each of her grandchildren. She never lost her warmth through two wins against cancer as we were all blessed to have had more years with her. She loved her cocker spaniels and was always ready to catch a football game!
Loving wife to The late Patrick Thomas, and predeceased by her twin sister Carolyn, Marilyn is survived by her three adoring children, Courtney Couture (and husband, Corbin), Scott Chesebro (and wife Brittany), and Eric Chesebro; and her Grandchildren: Hunter and Danika Couture, Cole Chesebro and Avery Chaffin Chesebro.
Marilyn passed on October 31, 2022 after 23 years in Tampa, Florida and will be missed by all who knew her. She will be an angel to us all and always be part of our lives and our stories.
