“Eddie” Perruso, son of Nora Mercedes (Callahan) Jones and James ”Jamie” Joseph Perruso, fell asleep in death on June 26, 2023. He was born Edward Vincent Perruso, in Tampa, Florida on November 16, 1969.

Eddie, along with Amy (Hill) Perruso Ramsey are the parents of two children, daughter Madelaine Grace Perruso and son Kade Edward Perruso.

Eddie is survived by his brother, Keith Ashley Tilley, his nephews, Zachary Matthew and Damien Tagg and his niece, and Emilie Lauren Tilley. His blended family siblings are Jody, Christopher, and Shelley Jones. He is also survived by his paternal Aunt “Toni” Antoinette Ciper and her two sons, Anthony Louis Ciper Jr. and Brett Jason “BJ” Ciper.

He is preceded in death by his father, James Joseph Perruso, grandparents, Edward Hernandez Callahan, Frances (Manaley) Callahan, James Joseph Perruso Sr. and Alice (Banks) Perruso.

Recently Eddie became engaged to Tanya Morrison. Together they attended But Now Fellowship Church in Tampa.

Eddie graduated in 1988 from Armwood High School in Seffner, Florida. After graduation he joined the military. Following his discharge, he attended NLU (Northeast Louisiana University) in Monroe, Louisiana (a branch of Louisiana State University), where he was granted a scholarship for the cheering squad. He studied Occupational Therapy and was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity.

While in college he worked during his summer breaks on oil rigs. After college he worked in the pharmaceutical industry for several years before he followed his spiritual calling by attending the Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, North Carolina where he earned his Master’s Degree in Divinity.

He was particularly close to his father figure, Ramond “Bo” Jones, as they had many serious discussions centered around God’s Word. For over 30 years Bo was an inspirational guide and confidante.

Along with his passion for spiritual growth, he pursued his physical fitness. He made time for working out daily and valued good nutrition.

Eddie had a charm and charismatic personality that had many people loving him dearly. In his short life he accomplished much, acquired many friends who loved and respected him.

Most of all he loved the Lord…God is Love.

1 John 4:8-9 8 Whoever does not Love has not come to know God, because God is Love. 9 By this the love of God was revealed in our case, that God sent his only begotten son into the world so that we might gain life through Him.

Eddie’s mother, Nora, extends a heartwarming thanks to her congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses, family, and friends who have comforted her during this time.

The Memorial date and time for Eddie, aka “Nick”, will be announced at a later date.
