Ava Catherine Schoening

Her spirit lives on in the saddle and in our hearts

December 2, 2008 - January 7, 2024

Ava Catherine Schoening, is survived by her grieving mother, Martha Schoening, her devoted father, Acie Gordy, and her cherished brothers, Aiden, Andre, and Alex.

Ava's family extends heartfelt gratitude to everyone who touched her light and made her life full and meaningful. As they navigate through the darkness of grief, they express their deepest thanks to those who shared in Ava's journey and helped her light shine brightly.

She was a Scout and all that it personified. She strived to be all of the Scout Law.

She was a true horsewoman. Horses were her passion, brought joy and purpose to her life.

She was a sister to all her warm hugs and tough love pushed her to be the best version of herself. Whether you knew her for 2 years or 10 she made you feel like a part of her life.

She was the BEST daughter. The light of our lives.  She gave what she got and she was loved.

Though Ava's time on Earth was short, her accomplishments were numerous, and her impact immeasurable. For those who were fortunate enough to share in her laughter, love, and light may her memory continue to contribute to the richness of your lives.

Know that your light will continue to shine in the hearts of all who were touched by your remarkable spirit. Rest in peace, dear Ava.
