Mike Rodriguez
January 11, 1958 – July 26, 2025

Mike Rodriguez, a devoted husband, loving father, and proud veteran of the United States Army, passed away peacefully on July 26, 2025, at the age of 67.

Born on January 11, 1958, in the Bronx, New York, Mike was the beloved son of Miguel Rodriguez and Maria Rosa. From a young age, Mike demonstrated a sense of duty, strength, and integrity that would define his life’s work and legacy.

At the age of 18, Mike answered the call to serve his country by enlisting in the U.S. Army. His military career spanned over two decades, during which he rose to the rank of Sergeant First Class (E-7). Throughout his 23 years of active-duty service, Mike served with honor and distinction in numerous domestic and overseas assignments. He was known among his peers and superiors alike as a steady leader, a selfless mentor, and a soldier whose unwavering commitment to duty embodied the Army values. His roles included leadership in combat support and operations, as well as mentoring junior enlisted personnel—many of whom credit him with shaping their careers and character.

Upon retiring from active duty, Mike continued his lifelong commitment to national service by joining the United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, Florida. As a Department of Defense civilian, he worked tirelessly in support of special operations for another 20 years, ultimately retiring with the rank of GS-12. His contributions played a vital role in supporting the mission-readiness and effectiveness of America’s elite military forces.

More than his professional accomplishments, Mike will be remembered for his unwavering faith, fierce devotion to family, and willingness to help anyone in need. He was a man of deep spiritual conviction and lived his life guided by his belief in God and service to others.

He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Aida Rodriguez; his son, Michael Rodriguez; and his daughter, Amanda Rodriguez. His family will forever carry the warmth of his love, the strength of his guidance, and the legacy of his honorable life.

A service to celebrate and honor the life of Mike Rodriguez will be held on Friday, August 1, 2025. His life was one of purpose, dedication, and love—a true American patriot who will be deeply missed and always remembered.
