Burial Services
Compassionate Cremations and Memorials offers traditional burial services or a unique celebration of life. We help families create meaningful and personalized farewells.
Traditional Burial Service with Viewing
This is a full service with a viewing at our chapel or another location. We schedule a two-hour time frame for the service. After the two-hour service is complete, the funeral director will transfer the deceased to the cemetery that was chosen by the family. The family may also have a brief service at the graveside as well. The next of kin will have the choice to witness the lowering of the casket at the conclusion of the service. There is a simple process to follow once a death has occurred.
First, the family, or next of kin, will have a person of authority contact Compassionate Cremations and Memorials to let us know that your loved one has passed away. That person will give the funeral directors the information needed to bring your loved one into our care. Once we receive the information from the person of authority, we will send our team to the location of your loved one.

Compassionate Cremations and Memorials will reach out and call the next of kin the same day or the next morning, depending on the time. One of the funeral directors will make an appointment to plan the funeral arrangements. You will need vital statistic information such as a social security number, mother’s maiden name, and a DD-214 form for veterans, etc. The meeting to plan the funeral arrangements will last approximately one hour to 90 minutes.
A funeral director from Compassionate Cremations and Memorials will meet the family and arrange flowers, clergy, death certificates and other important details. The funeral director will also contact the chosen cemetery to help the family coordinate the cemetery arrangements.

Veteran Services
A veteran can be buried or placed in a national cemetery within 75 miles of residence. We highly recommend Florida National Cemetery, located in Bushnell, for its beautiful scenery.
The DD-214 separation papers will be needed to schedule the burial and obtain a burial flag. The funeral director will order the flag, schedule military honors, and schedule the burial or placement in the National Cemetery. When the visitation is complete, family and friends will meet at the cemetery prior to the scheduled service. Cemetery personnel will speak with the next of kin to offer them headstone options.

All National Cemetery services are done in covered pavilions. The service time is limited to 15 minutes. The service will begin with Taps and a ceremonial flag folding presentation to be presented to the next of kin, and the National Cemetery will present a Presidential Memorial Certificate to the next of kin. If needed, the rest of the time is given to the clergy. The actual burial of the veteran will take place after the service is dismissed. The National Cemetery requests that the family return after 4:00 to visit the gravesite.
For a service with an urn, you can choose between an in-ground burial or a niche space in a columbarium wall.
Green Burial
A Green or Natural burial is an earth friendly process. The burial container or anything that is placed into the ground must be biodegradable. The body will not be embalmed. Burial containers could consist of a pine box, wicker or cardboard material. Clothes should be made of natural fibers such as cotton or linen. The body may also be shrouded by the funeral directors.
We highly recommend Heartwood Preserve Conservation Cemetery located in Trinity, Florida. Heartwood Preserve is the only conservation cemetery in Florida. The entire cemetery is a protected nature preserve. The office and the cemetery grounds are beautiful.
