Obituary

Our hearts are broken to share that Kelli Deann (Wells) Christensen, age 52, born in Benton Harbor, MI, passed away peacefully on 10/21/25 after a brave and courageous battle with Stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer. 

Kelli was a light in every room she entered, full of love, laughter and strength. She faced every challenge with grace, never losing her warmth or her ability to care for others, even in her hardest days. Her courage and kindness touched everyone who knew her.

Kelli was a devoted mother, sister, aunt, niece, cousin and friend. Her greatest joy was her family. She loved deeply, laughed easily and had a gift for making everyone around her feel seen and loved.

Throughout Kelli’s journey, she was lovingly supported by her partner, Erik Bolden, whose constant care, devotion and presence brought her comfort and peace. Their love was a beautiful reminder of what it means to stand by someone through it all.

Kelli is survived by her children, Kristina Wells (Aaron Krysiak) and Kyle Christensen, her siblings, Traci (Scott) Henslee, twin Kimberly Wells and James (Jacqueline) Wells. She is also survived by several beloved nieces, nephews and cousins who adored her. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents James & Olene (Hendrixson) Roberts and mother Theresa (Roberts) Emswiler. 

A celebration of life will be held on Monday, October 27, 2025. The family will spread the ashes, per her wishes, at a date to be determined. 

In lieu of flowers, a Memorial Donation may be made to Susan G. Komen in her memory.

Though our hearts ache, we take comfort knowing she is finally at peace. Her love, laughter and light will stay with us forever.
