Obituary

JoAnn Corder McQuaid, 86, of Land O Lakes, Florida passed away December 5, 2025. She was born on December 27, 1938 in New Lexington, Ohio. She was the daughter of the late Harry Earl Corder and Minnie Beatrice Allen Corder. She married Donald W. McQuaid and moved to West Palm Beach, Florida where he was stationed in the Air Force. While residing in West Palm Beach, she graduated from West Palm Beach High School in 1956.

While raising their 5 children, JoAnn worked in customer service jobs until she found her calling working with students at the University of South Florida where she was an Admissions Officer for Undergraduate Processing. She retired from this position after 25 years of service.

She was a devout Christian and was very active at her church, St. Catherine’s of Alexandria Episcopal Church in Temple Terrace, where she taught Sunday School, participated in Sunday Services, and was a member of the Altar Guild.

JoAnn is survived by her husband, Donald W. McQuaid, sons Wesley (Rhonda) McQuaid, and Dale (Brenda) McQuaid, and daughters Renee (Leigh) Stembridge, and Regina (Steve) Ricker, 10 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her son, David Lee and her 2 sisters, Jenny Bartlett and June Vansickle.

JoAnn was a devoted wife and mother who was loved by all. She will forever be known for her beautiful, loving and generous spirit.

We will celebrate JoAnn’s life on Saturday, January 17, 2026 at St. Catherine’s Episcopal Church,
502 Druid Hills Rd. Temple Terrace, Florida at 11:00 am followed by a reception in the parish hall.
