Denise Marie Thomson passed away on October 9, 2025, in Tampa, Florida, at the age of 61.

Born on November 5, 1963, in Tampa, Denise was a lifelong Floridian whose strength and spirit left a lasting impression on all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Melinda Menendez and Peter Lala.

Denise is survived by her devoted husband of 44 years, Wayne Thomson; their son, Zachary Thomson (Brittany); and her sister, Michelle Lala (Brian)

Denise and Wayne met during one of Wayne’s band practices in Tampa and were married on September 28, 1991. Their enduring partnership was built on love, laughter, and unwavering support. As a wife, mother, and sister, Denise brought warmth and resilience to every role she embraced.

She had an indomitable spirit one that truly defined the words “don’t quit” and “never give up.” Her passion for life was matched by her love of music. A true fan of hair metal, Denise found joy in the sounds of Danger Danger, Bon Jovi, Van Halen and many more.

May her memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her.
