Obituary
Daniel Gonzalez Jr., 69, of Tampa, FL, passed away August 2, 2026 from natural causes. Daniel was born in Chicago, IL; on September 27, 1956 and served in the United States Army honorably for four years. He is survived by a loving family that includes his daughter Amanda and grandson Alexander; as well as his sister Nereida, brother Andres, and their families. Family was of the utmost importance to Daniel; and his nieces and nephews were loved by him as though they were his own kids. Their kids became like his own grandkids. The amount of love this man carried in his heart for the people around him brought a light into a world that one may think has become darker with his passing. But his love was truly infectious and his light now lives on through every person who he shared his love with. This makes the world a truly brighter place. As we mourn his passing, we also rejoice in knowing he is dancing up in Heaven. Daniel would have told St. Peter at the gates of Heaven, “I got ants in my pants and just need to dance.” Services are being held from noon – 2pm on August 11th, 2026 at Compassionate Cremations in Tampa Florida. If you are unable to attend but would like to honor him, feel free to order flowers from La Maison des Fleurs, sent to Compassion Cremations building on the aforementioned date.
