March 16, 1955 – May 30, 2026
With profound sadness and heartfelt gratitude for a life well lived, we celebrate the life of Ms. Charlene W. West, who departed this life on May 30, 2026, at the age of 71.
Born on March 16, 1955, Charlene was a woman whose life was defined by love, service, and devotion to family. She was a devoted mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend who touched the lives of countless people with her kindness, generosity, and unwavering support.
For more than 30 years, Charlene faithfully served the children and families of Hillsborough County as a school bus driver. She took great pride in her work and was known for her reliability, caring spirit, and dedication to the students entrusted to her care. To many, she was more than a bus driver, she was a familiar smile, a comforting presence, and a steady part of their daily lives.
Charlene had a heart for people. She never hesitated to lend a helping hand, offer words of encouragement, or make someone feel welcome. Her compassion and warmth left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
When she was not working, Charlene enjoyed many of life’s simple pleasures. She loved fishing, taking cruises, and creating cherished memories with her nieces and nephews at the Florida State Fair. Time spent with family brought her tremendous joy, and she treasured every opportunity to gather, laugh, and celebrate with those she loved.
Known for her vibrant spirit, Charlene’s favorite color was emerald green, a fitting reflection of the beauty, strength, and warmth she brought into the world. Her love, wisdom, and generosity will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
Though she is no longer with us in body, her legacy remains in the lives she touched, the family she loved, and the memories that will be treasured forever.
Ms. Charlene W. West will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her family, friends, and all whose lives were enriched by her presence.
May she rest in eternal peace.
