Brett James Bledsoe, 37, joined his Heavenly Father on Monday, January 12, 2026.
Brett was born in Macon, Ga on December 15, 1988 to Glenn and Vickie Bledsoe. He was a member of New City Church in Tampa, Fl. Brett worked the majority of his life in the hospitality industry, primarily as a bartender. He was employed by Salt Block in Tampa. He graduated from First Presbyterian Day School where he played football and won a state championship title in wrestling. He shared the love and acceptance of Jesus with all his friends and customers.
He enjoyed spending time with his nieces and pets as well as watching football and motocross. A friend to everyone, he was known for his infectious smile, love for everyone and incredible work ethic no matter the task.
A loving son, brother, uncle and friend, he is survived by the family he adored, his parents, Glenn and Vickie Bledsoe; his sister, Brittney (Anton) Lennartsson; his brother Bryan (Pfeiffer) Bledsoe; his nieces, Livia and Norah; his friend, Simon Underwood and godson, AJ Underwood.
The family will have a private service in Tampa, Fl.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to New City Church’s Rooted to Multiply fund to advance the mission of the Gospel and begin renovations for the future home of New City Church.
