
Victoria Marguerite Woodward, lovingly known as “ Vickie” and to those really close to her as “Big Sexy”, transitioned June 2, 2024 in Tampa, Florida after a long and courageous battle with Leukemia. Born May 27, 1971 in Germany, Vickie spent her childhood and many more years in Detroit where she worked at Children’s Hospital of Michigan as a pediatric phlebotomist, a job she truly enjoyed. She previously lived in South Carolina, where she spent many wonderful years, prior to moving to Florida.
Vickie enjoyed gardening, reading, shopping, doing her nails and taking care of her children. She relished everything flowers, Disney, and gathering with her friends and family. Going to the beach and collecting seashells was a reverenced pastime and she truly cherished the season of Christmas.
Victoria is survived by her 2 daughters, Shana Janelle and Sydney Madison Woodward of the home, her parents Gus Jr (Annice), Tampa, and Barbara (Alvin) Franklin of Brandon, siblings Robbin (David) Williams of Bradenton and Gus Woodward III of Brandon, her best friend Robin Hoyle of Detroit and her beloved dog Lily. She is also survived by Shana’s best friend, Megan New of Aiken, SC (formerly of Tampa) and Tamar Mazin of the home who is Sydney’s best friend whom she also loved as her own.
Vickie is preceded in death by her beloved son, Nicholas D’Angelo Woodward and dear friend Kenyon Darden
Services will be held at on Saturday June 29 in Tampa.
Guests are asked to wear pink, Vickie’s favorite color.
