Patrick Scott Major, 67, of Lutz, FL passed away on January 17th, 2021.
He was born October 2nd, 1953 in Tampa, FL to Alban and Audrey (Bicker- Caarten) Major. Patrick graduated from Tampa Catholic High School in 1971. He then spent four years in the United States Army. After he began working as a photographer then moved into Human Resources. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts with a concentration in Business Management from Eckerd College in 1986.
He opened a flying school and charter company in 1989. Eventually transitioning from flying to Flight Safety Training where he remained active until shortly before his passing.
He was active in the Unity Church and Toastmasters International.
He is survived by his daughter, Amey (William Marckesano) Major of Tampa, FL, and granddaughter, Jamie Marckesano. Mother, Audrey Major. Siblings, Gil (Pamela Major) Major, Heidi (Stephen Taylor) Taylor and nieces, Norah and Paulla Taylor.
He was preceded in death by his father, Alban Major, uncles, Peter, James and Delmar Bicker-Caarten, and Dick Major.
Cremation has taken place at Compassionate Cremations, Tampa, FL. (813) 946-8820.
A celebration of life will be held on April 10th,2021 at 11am at 2021 at Unity North Tampa, 19520 Holly Lane, Lutz, FL 33558. Please arrive early for seating.
