Pamela C. O'Lary

Writer: Compassionate Cremations and MemorialsCompassionate Cremations and Memorials

Pamela C. O'Lary, 71, of Tampa, Florida was called home on Tuesday August the 16th, 2022. She passed peacefully surrounded by her loved ones.

Pam was a beautiful, loving, sweet woman who adored her daughters and her grandchildren. She was full of love and laughter. Pam taught her daughters the great value in a strong sense of humor and she taught her grandchildren the joys of being silly. She was never boring. Pam was a legendary home cook, she had an incredible green thumb and also never met a cat she didn't love. Pam was a great fan of music and her favorite band was Journey. She was a movie buff and instilled a love of films of all kinds in her family. Pam was an artist, an avid reader, a prolific writer and a great storyteller. Pam was always curious and never stopped wondering about the mysteries of life and the universe.

The most remarkable of all her qualities however was her capacity for love, her kindness and her generosity both with her time and her heart and so Pam leaves behind a bevy of friends and extended family that love her and will truly miss her.

She is survived by her sisters Bonnie Gatlin (Tennessee) and Beth Gatlin (Georgia) and three heartbroken daughters; Jamie Murray of Temple Terrace, Christina Mihai of Tampa, Michelle O'Lary of Wesley Chapel and her beloved niece Destiny Katrina of Georgia. She also leaves behind her nine adoring grandchildren; Vincent, Nicholas, Zsadeirah, Sean, Abbey, Mia, Bella, Annabel and Jackson.

She is preceded in death by her parents Sidney and Elizabeth, her brothers Richard and Samuel as well as her sister Roberta Ann.

We as her family would like to extend our deepest gratitude to the staff of Melech Hospice House who were so incredibly kind to us and took such time and care with our Mom as she made her journey home. We would also like to thank Compassionate Cremations for their services.

A Celebration of Life will be held privately with family and friends.
