Nancy Jo Qualls-Collins, 69, of Tampa, FL passed away on Monday morning, 11/9/20 at St. Joseph’s Hospital North in Lutz, Florida after losing the battle against pneumonia and other complications. She is preceded in death by her father and mother, Merle & Patricia Qualls of Tampa. She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Michael & Karen Qualls of AZ, niece Stacey Qualls of CA, sister Wendy Qualls of Florida, an Aunt and several cousins of Indiana and Ohio.
Nancy traveled for JC Penney’s by taking children’s portraits. She studied at IUPU University in Indianapolis, IN and became a respiratory therapist, eventually moving to St. Petersburg, Florida and working for the former All Children’s Hospital. She also worked for the former University Community Hospital after moving to Tampa, FL. She also worked with home health and durable medical equipment companies before retiring due to disabilities.
She adored her Sheltie, Sadie, who sadly passed from cancer, and made several friends each time she walked her. She also loved to read romance novels and belonged to several reading corners on Facebook. She edited new books so they could be published, gave reviews for other new books, and met several friends and people she went to school with on Facebook. Nancy was gifted with the ability to write and speak eloquently in any situation. She was loved by everyone she met.
