Kevin Eugene Johnston, 62, of Gibsonton, Fl, died on Friday September 1st, 2023. Kevin was born in Ronceverte, West Virginia to Ronald and Dee Johnston on January 6th, 1961. He worked as a cook for many years. He also worked for many years as a service technician, repairing anything that was broken at convenient stores. He was an extremely hard-working man, putting his heart into everything he did. He was a master of many trades. Kevin loved sci-fi and was a huge trekkie. He enjoyed designing gaming maps and playing games. He loved music and excelled at playing the drums and singing. He enjoyed the outdoors and was always up for an adventure. He took great pride in being a father to 5 children and he loved spending time with his three grandchildren. Kevin is survived by his son, Dana (Viviana) of Orlando, FL, daughter, Dina of Lynchburg, VA, daughter, Sara of Winchester, VA, daughter, Veronica (Sean) of Loris, SC, daughter, McKayla of Mount Airy, MD, granddaughters, Lyra and Harper, and grandson Lucas. He is also survived by his brothers, Steven (Elena) of Winchester, VA, Michael (Carol) of Gore, VA, and Russell (Melissa) of Winchester, VA. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ronald, and Dee Johnston, and by his nephew, Michael Johnston Jr. In the words of Kevin’s favorite Star Trek character, Spock, “Live long, and prosper.”
