Jorge “Pipo” Ferrandiz

The loss of a father is a significant loss. Subsequently, deciding what to say when he is no longer around feels impossible. No one can take your Dad’s place but, “Pipo” taught us that even our most profound losses are survivable. At the present, we will all miss him dearly however, only time will mend our hearts. You see, to lose a father is to lose the one person whose guidance helped you sustain things when they were tough! He was a man who supported you like a tree trunk support its branches. In spite of everything, he was a great Dad and husband. We all know he could be honorary at times, but we sincerely loved him. Yes, currently our hearts are hurting, it is only the happy memories that will help us survive his loss. Pipo was always there for all of us and when we now must take those steps alone and without him by our side, remember his loving and caring words. I remember as a kid when he would rub my ear with his fingers when I sat next to him. While annoying, that simple action showed his feeling of contentment and love for his children. We were all so honored to have been touched by Pipo, my Dad. Above all, we were all blessed to have such a Dad so special and caring. His memories will live forever in our hearts. His kindness and selfness nature made him a joy to be around. Granted, his stories of his days as a showmen in Cuba and the many daunting stories of what it was like “In the day in Cuba” were always a struggle to listen to, he will always stay in our mind and hearts. Not a day will go by that we will not miss him, grieve him and I pray that you find strength and healing in the memories Pipo leaves behind. With this in mind, remember he was the first one to offer help when he saw any of us in need. Even though he’s no longer on this earth take a trip down memory lane and remember his laughter and big spirit that will be with us all forever! May you always hear Pipo’s words of wisdom guiding you and may you always feel his love everywhere you go. I will miss him and he will always be in my heart and prayers.

Love you dearly Pipo,

Eduardito

Revelation 21:4 He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away

My beloved Tio Jorge will be dearly missed. He was an amazing uncle and great-uncle to all of his nieces and nephews. His love was unconditional, comforting and non judgmental. When he laughed it came from his soul. He was kind, genuine, compassionate and funny. He hugged you with his heart, there was never mistaking his love for you.

I regret I will never hear him say “te quiero mi pollito, tu sabes que te quiero mucho y a tu hijito y Hector.” But I take solum he is in heaven with Carlos, Gizzy and all his loved ones.

Until we meet again mi Tio, mi Padrino querido. Rest In Peace!

Te queremos mucho,

Nanny ( tu pollito), Héctor and Ryan
