Donna Hussey

In Loving Memory: Donna Hussey, February 11, 1951 - June 2, 2024

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Donna Hussey, who departed this world on Sunday, June 2, 2024 at the Melech Hospice House in Temple Terrace, FL after battling cancer for the past 2 years. Boy, she really fought hard. Her strength will always be an influence to those who knew her. She was 73 years old.

Donna Hussey was a cherished sister, daughter, mother, mother in law, grandmother, community member and friend to many. She leaves behind a legacy of strength, kindness, and resilience. Donna was a beacon of light in our lives, a steadfast companion whose presence brought joy and warmth to all who knew her; even though she could be stubborn at times. 😉 Donna's passing leaves a void that cannot be filled, but her spirit will live on in the memories and hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her. She will be remembered for her infectious laughter, unwavering friendship, and boundless love.

Born February 11, 1951 in Rochester, NH, Donna led a life filled with love and purpose. She worked in the hospitality industry throughout her life and retired as a baker working at the Lilac City Grille in Rochester, NH; not that long ago.  She was not just a baker; she was a devoted grandmother, friend, and  member of the American Legion in Rochester, NH for many years where she contributed back to her community. As a friend, Donna was unparalleled. She possessed a rare gift of empathy and understanding, always ready with a listening ear and a comforting word but always spoke her truth. Her kindness knew no bounds, and she touched the lives of so many with her spunky personality and consideration of others.

Let us come together to honor and remember Donna,  whose light will continue to shine brightly in our hearts forever. A celebration of Donna's life will be held at the American Legion in Rochester, NH on Saturday, July 27, 2024. She will be laid to rest in the Milton Mills cemetery in Milton, NH next to her beloved son, Rhett Butler Hussey, on a date to be determined for close family following the celebration of life ceremony. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Rochester NH American Legion or Leukemia & Lymphoma in her honor.
