Don Castro Valentino Hyman Testman, was born 2/14/1936 to Hyman Orvil Testman and Rovina Smith-Testman in Miami, Fl. He leaves behind a blended family of twenty-seven children from our Mother (Sarah McAllister Rice) Stepmother (Kay Kilpatrick Testman) and two former girlfriends (Ruthie Bosfield and Doreen Tate). He also leaves behind fifteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He has twelve brothers and six sisters, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Don passed away at the age of 87 on January 25th , 2024 at the James Haley VA hospital due to cardiac arrest that stemmed from an infected foot injury.
He lived his final seventeen years in Tampa, FL receiving care from DaVita Dialysis clinic and James Haley VA hospital.
In his youth, he decided to enlist in the U.S. Marine Corp at the age of seventeen to financially support his mother and siblings. He served two years in the Marine Corp with an Honorable discharge. After leaving the Marine Corp, he planned to relocate to Alaska to shoot wolves. However, his plans had changed after meeting our mother Sarah.
