Captain Bogdan Siewert has passed away in his home in Tampa, Florida on August 24, 2024 at the age of 86, after a courageous battle with stomach cancer.  Bogdan is survived by his loving wife of nearly 58 years, Elizabeth Siewert, their  two children, Maciej " Matthew" and Patrycja and 3 grandsons Liam, Aiden and Connor. Bogdan will be greatly missed and remembered fondly.

Bogdan lived through the occupation of Poland during World War II and went on to study Marinetime Navigation at Marine Officers Academy. Throughout his career, Bogdan worked his way up to Master Captain by obtaining a U.S. Coast Guard Master License in the USA,  the top rank for ocean going vessels.  He was a Master Captain certified for oceanic voyage at his last employer, TECO Energy, from where he retired.


A mass and memorial service for Bogdan will be held on

September 28, 2024 at 1:00PM at St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church (www.stmarktampa.org)
