Obituary

Albert R. Kulbok, fondly remembered as Al, of Norwood, Massachusetts, passed away on July 24th, 2025, following a courageous battle with cancer. He was 78 years old.

Albert was the beloved husband of Judy A. Dailey-Kulbok (née DiGiandomenico), to whom he devoted a life rich in laughter and affection.

After working tirelessly for many years, Albert retired to Palm Coast, Florida with the love of his life, where he spent his later years enjoying ice cream at Sally’s, lounging at Flagler Beach, and indulging in his fondness for casinos and the excitement they brought.

Albert served in the U.S. Navy, ran a catering business, and later entered a career devoted to public safety. He served as a dispatcher for the Mansfield and Norton Police Departments, where his steady disposition and calm demeanor were a source of reassurance for officers and the community alike. He brought that same dependable presence to his role in security for the Jacksonville Jaguars, as part of the SAFE Team.

Known for his social nature, quick wit, and deep compassion—especially toward anyone accompanied by a dog—Albert had a remarkable gift for making people feel welcome. He was an extraordinary husband and a devoted grandfather, whose love and humor lit up every room.

Born to the late Albert S. Kulbok and Stella Kulbok (née Czyrklis), Albert carried forward a legacy rooted in strength and dedication to serving his country and his community. He was predeceased by his stepson, Jason R. Dailey, whom Al helped raise with patience, love, and kindness.

Al is survived by his loving wife Judy, his cherished grandson Jackson LaFlash—born Jackson Dailey—and the rest of his family: Heather, Andrew, and Cameron LaFlash of Oakdale, Connecticut, all of whom held a treasured place in Albert’s heart. He is also survived by his brother-in-law, Louis DiGiandomenico, his wife Gail DiGiandomenico, and their son Christopher DiGiandomenico of Hampton, New Hampshire.

A small service will be held to honor and celebrate Albert’s life.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, Florida.
